The South Okanagan, and in particular the Oliver area is unquestionably the finest area in Canada to enjoy a winter away from our harsher climates. With one of the highest average January temperatures in Canada, minimal precipitation and and a myriad of activities for seniors, this area is becoming a haven for Canadian Snowbirds. Escalating travel insurance rates, a volatile exchange rate, sky rocketing fuel costs and changing attitudes at the border, dictate that this is the time to consider staying here while still receiving the benefits of a mild climate.
The Oliver Seniors Centre is a must visit for wintering snowbirds with numerous activities catering to seniors of all ages.

Most Golf Courses in the area are played 11 to 12 months of the year. Oliver has an active curling community, while the Legion has dart nights and other events catering to locals and visitors alike. The Elks Club is also a favorite of visiting seniors. As a burgeoning retirement center, Oliver has the necessary infrastructure to handle your needs as a senior.
Gallagher Lake Lodge is set on beautiful Gallagher Lake with a large expanse of lawn and a sandy beach. Having 3 types of rooms available, The Lodge affords snowbirds comfortable, inexpensive accommodation at very reasonable rates. There are 7 kitchenettes, 4 lovely cabins with lofts and 2 spacious Mobile homes available.
